Before we head into the long weekend, we wanted to take a moment to update you on the status of the repairs to the building and a timeline for when we expect to be able to host meetings onsite again.
No external meetings onsite until January 1, 2023
Due to the extensive repairs required (particularly to the 1st and 2nd floors), we will not be able to host onsite meetings until January 1, 2023. The Events Management and Hospitality Services (EMHS) team is working hard to find alternate solutions and is working with impacted groups to determine offsite or virtual options.
Welcoming staff back to the main building
We are working towards welcoming staff back into the office (top three floors) as soon as it is feasible.
The duct cleaning, testing and additional cleaning based on test results will dictate the re-entry date. The work is progressing well, and at this rate we plan to allow staff to work on the three top floors by late August/early September . If we can welcome staff back earlier, we will.
CMT will stand-down, BCT will continue
Now that restoration is well underway, the Crisis Management Team (CMT) is demobilized. The Business Continuity Team (BCT) will remain active monitoring the status of time critical services such as service desk support, meetings logistics.
